Both students and employees use an Exchange online mailbox. Below you will find an overview of manuals showing how you can configure this mailbox on your device (laptop, smartphone, tablet, ...). You can also check your mail at any time via a web browser (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, ...) without the need to install anything.

which devices are supported?
You can configure your email on devices that Exchange Online supports. These are usually the devices that still receive security updates from their vendor (Apple, Samsung, Huawei, ...). Do you have a device that is too old? Then unfortunately you have to rely on webmail in your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, ...).
The Outlook mobile app and all other Microsoft mobile apps will have the following support:
- Android: the last four major versions are supported
- IOS: the current version and the previous version are supported

Multifactor-authentication (MFA)
You can better protect your email with the KU Leuven authenticator, with this we add a second check on the access to your devices and data. This is safer than just using a username and password. We now use the term multi-factor authentication or in our manuals simply MFA.
