About this software
Mnova (formerly known as MScReNova or MestReC), developed by Mestrelab Research, is software used by the Bachelor of Chemistry programme at UCLL Leuven. It is a versatile analysis platform for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), mass spectrometry (MS), and other spectroscopic techniques.
With Mnova, you can import, process, interpret, and report spectra using modules such as NMR, qNMR, MSChrom, ElViS, and Chemometrics. The software integrates data from multiple instrument vendors and provides a consistent user experience across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
What do you need?
- eduVPN: To use the UCLL licence, you must first install eduVPN on your device.
- Mnova licence files: These files are required to activate Mnova.
- Mnova software: The installation files needed to install Mnova on your computer.
1. Install EDUVPN
To use the Mnova licences provided by UCLL, you must first install eduVPN.
This free application creates a secure connection between your personal device and the UCLL licence server.
When using Mnova for the first time, you must connect through eduVPN to activate your licence. Once activated, the licence remains valid for 90 days.
Would you like to continue using Mnova after that period? Simply reconnect to eduVPN before the licence expires to renew your licence for another 90 days.
2. Download the licence files
Download the ZIP file using the link below and unzip it on your computer.
You'll need these files later during the activation process.
3. Download And install Mnova
Download and install the version of Mnova that matches your operating system. Once the installation is complete, activate the software by following these steps:
- Open MestReNova
- When the Registration Wizard appears, click Install.
- Navigate to the folder containing the licence files.
- Select and open each licence file individually. A confirmation message will appear after each installation: '1 license files were succesfully installed'.
- Restart the application. A green status icon confirms that the licence has been installed correctly.
