Inventor is a powerful 3D CAD program from Autodesk, specifically designed for modeling, designing, simulating and documenting mechanical systems and components. It is widely used in mechanical engineering, electromechanics and product development.
Students can create parts and assemblies, simulate motion and perform strength calculations. It also supports collaboration through Autodesk Fusion Team.

- Go to the Autodesk Education website.
- Select Inventor, choose the 'Student' subscription plan
- Register using your university details when prompted.
- Select the desired version, operating system and language.
- Download the installation file and run it.
- Follow the steps in the installation wizard and activate with your education account.
