## ABOUT THIS SOFTWARE

**Docker** it is a platform that allows you to package software into so-called containers. A container includes everything needed to run an application: code, libraries and settings. This ensures the application works the same everywhere, regardless of the system it runs on.

**Docker Desktop** is an application for Windows and macOS that allows you to easily work with Docker containers on your own computer. It includes everything you need to build, manage and run containers, including:

- Docker Engine (de kernsoftware)
- Docker CLI (command-line interface)
- Docker Compose (for managing multi-container applications)
- A graphical dashboard to visually manage your containers
