## ABOUT THIS SOFTWARE

Mendeley is a reference tool developed by Elsevier with desktop apps (Windows, macOS, Linux) and a web interface. You store your references in a personal library that automatically syncs to the cloud. The app offers features such as metadata extraction from PDFs, annotations, a Notebook and integration with Mendeley Cite for Word. The old Mendeley Desktop remains available but is no longer actively supported.

Basic use is free, including automatic synchronization up to 2 GB of storage. Paid tiers are available for additional storage capacity and features.



Installation manual

- Create a free Mendeley account at mendeley.com
- Go to the download page and choose the installation package for your system (Windows, macOS or Linux).
- Run the downloaded file and follow the installation wizard.
- Launch the application and log in with your Mendeley credentials; your library will sync automatically.
- (Optional) Install the Mendeley Web Importer browser extension and use Mendeley Cite in Word for citations.
