## ABOUT THIS SOFTWARE

Node.js allows developers to run JavaScript not only in the browser but also on servers. It is particularly suited for building real-time web applications, APIs, command-line tools and network services.

Node.js operates asynchronously and is event-driven, making it efficient for applications that require extensive I/O (such as chats, games or data processing). Its package manager (npm) provides access to a vast number of open source modules.
