## ABOUT THIS SOFTWARE

Audacity is a free and open-source audio editing program that allows students and teachers to easily record, edit, cut, and combine sound across multiple tracks. For students it’s a useful tool for recording and editing presentations, podcasts, or language assignments. Teachers can use it to record educational material, create listening exercises, or record and edit lectures.

## DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE

- Go to the Audacity website via the "Download Audacity" button.
- Choose the correct operating system and download the installation file.
- Double-click the installation file and follow the Wizard.
- Start Audacity.
- Check your audio devices: go to Preferences (Edit > Preferences or Audacity > Preferences on Mac) and set your input and output devices.
